An extraordinary, completely local and authentic immersion experience in the El Yunque Tropical Forest, designated as an Insular Wildlife Refuge.
The forest is part of the Luquillo Range Mountains that have a long history that involves pre-Columbian cultures, Spanish colonization, gold mining and timber exploitation, the construction of access roads and facilities, forest management and research. We visit a special place in the southern part of this impressive natural ecosystem visited mostly by local people and offered by a local guide with genuine knowledge of the culture of the place. Magnificent hiking experience, bird and species watching, we go to a very special river with a beautiful waterfall to enjoy nature.
